The Pegaso fanbase chooses its branding for a new era
Over the past two weeks, Escudería Pegaso, Spain's Formula One team, has held a vote to choose a new design for the upcoming seasons.
In a process limited to its shareholders and fans, a choice was made between two continuist designs, based on the Troner truck, and a different one that kept the grey but added new colours, such as blue, based on the Tecno truck and the Pegaso logo from the 80s. At the same time, all the liveries had the addition of Meyba, a Catalan sports equipment brand that will become the team's newest official sponsor.
As there were several liveries based on the same concept, the process was split into two. The first round, in which 65% of the team's fans participated, resulted in a tie with 21 votes between 'Troner B' and 'Tecno'. Everything was decided in a second round in which the same result was obtained, although with a lower turnout (42 votes against 48 in the first round).
The tie-breaker was made according to the votes of the shareholders, this time, very narrowly, with the balance in favour of the 'Tecno' proposal by a single vote (12 to 11).
The Formula 4 designs are already available in JordiMontané's shop. In the next few days, we will be making the corresponding ones for the main single-seater categories (Indy, FE, F2, F3). For the rest of the cars, please contact Jordi or myself and we will make them on request.
Finally, I would like to take this opportunity to thank all the members of the team for participating. We have doubled our numbers from the last time, two years ago, and that means that we are all more committed to Pegaso every day. All we need to do now is to correspond on the track. I can assure you that we will.
